Project Description

Humpty Doo Barramundi is a 100% Australian owned fish farm harvesting up to 6000 tons of fish per year in Australia’s remote Northern Territory.

Over the past 27 years the family have built the farm to become Australia’s largest producer of premium quality saltwater Barramundi. This has been achieved through the multi award winning sustainable saltwater wetland system which cleans and circulates the water back through the farm to be reused again and again.

As part of the expansion of the business Biomass Silo Systems were contracted to provide 2 – 20.0 ton capacity silos for storing fish feed pellets.

These rectangular silos had two outlets each which were raised approximately 1m off the ground with custom manufactured connections to allow for a conveying auger to take the fish feed from the silos and transfer them into the feeding area of the farm enclosures.

At over 14,000km away this project shows that distance is no barrier for our flat packed silo systems and the fully customisable features make them suitable for storing bulk solid materials of all kinds.
